WebEvery pedal works with every amp, the amp may just respond differently based whether it is tube or solid state. Like, it will sound like a Klon if you put it in front of a solid state amp, but your amp may or may not respond favorably to your signal being boosted in front, so you may not be able to use the pedal to push your amp to great effect. WebDec 6, 2024 · It works best into the dirty channel with the amp on the edge of break up (turned up pretty loud) and with a substantial boost + a little gain dialed into the SF. And it's perhaps not true with a real Klon but the Soul food definitely makes a little bit of noise.. not bad but the switch pops the first time you turn it on.

I’m wondering if anyone else has a champ or even a blackface style fender tube amp and has found an overdrive that gets them to the edge of breakup to a little further at low volumes.
